Islam. People go by media bias and the teachings of people completely removed from Islam to get their information on Islam.

With respect to all - you all can date back your religion to when it originated - Christianity some 2000 yrs back - ISLAM add another 1000 or something, how much any one knows about the HINDUISM - to put it in your way HINDU Religion, cause Hinduism is not a religion its a way of life.
I really dont know when science discovered the 9 planets in the solar system (may be some 500 or lets say 1000 yrs back) but in India people are practicing astrology & worshiping 9 planets since thousands of years back.
There are stories dating ages back - i really cannot explain a religion frankly in my own words if you really have the heart then i promise you this is where peace is....

Wicca and Paganism are often (deliberately) miscast as Satanists. They are not. Also currently Islam. Their faith has been hijacked by the most extreme members of their faith--as though the KKK had suddenly become dominant in the Christian faith. New Age is assumed to be made up of air-headed, unstable and shallow people. While some are, there are also some serious thinkers among the movement.

I'm sure you'll get tons of people saying Islam, because it's the politically correct answer. However, I think we understand Islam better than we care to admit, unfortunately.
Now Christianity is probabley the least understood by it's own practitioners.
But Hinduism is probabley the least understood religion outside of it's own practitioners world wide, if only due to it's antiquity and complexity.

The single most misunderstood religion in the world is Christianity. I mean, let's face it... they have over 10,000 different variations of the same religion because not one of them can agree on what their bible actually means.

no doubt it is Islam. there are already books stating that.
Media bias. of course, what can we expect when most media r backed by the Americans, which is further influenced by Israel. always trying (isn't it obvious?) to shine a bad light upon Islam.

They're all equally misunderstood - simply based on the principle that everyone interprets them in a different way, and everyone gets them wrong.
Funny, that.

Islam... the world is too busy judging the misguided Muslims and blame Islam on their evil deeds.
Islam is pure and the answer to the world's problems.
