You don't NEED to add salt to anything. Foods naturally have all the salt your body needs. As you get older, salt can increase your blood pressure and that leads to all kinds of other problems. Better to learn now to not add salt to food items. You can learn not to use it and if you do you won't miss it and you won't have to try to stop using it later in life. Got it? Good.

It is not "that" bad, but high blood pressure is not good over time. Eating too much salt in one day won't hurt, but doing it every day for many years will decrease your kidney function over 30 years.

anything over 150 grams is way too much. high salt intake could have problems on your heart your at risk for heart diease and heart attacks as well as high blood pressure and high blood pressure is treatable but it takes a long time to get it back down to normal

You should never have too much salt in your diet but a bit of salt is good.
I suffer from pains in my legs, especially at night, if I don't have some salt in my diet.

It depends on your body make-up. Some people can use lots & some people can't. Generally speaking it can raise your blood pressure to unsafe levels and put you in danger of heart attack & /or stroke. It's best to use in moderation,just like everything else. Too much of anything can be bad for you.

i think, on think mind, the RDA of salt is 6grms. Anything over that is bad and it can cause all types of health probs. Such as Blood pressure, obesity etc
