say if we arrange a meeting its either 9 oclock,9:30 or 9:15,
no one says 9:12, 9:07 or 9:26?

While the precision does seem to be off for such small increments (even with sinchronized wathes) I think people meet at strange times already - like 7:38 (or is that 7:30/8 o'clock?)

Can't really tell you why, but just for the fun of it, I'll schedule my next meeting at an odd time and see if anyone gets there on time! It might make for a good "team" listening motivational session, since that's what I do!

because it's usually based on an estimated time to the closest 15 minutes to make remembering time more simple for the simple minded people

its easier knowing that the arrival timing will never be exact!
