I have a simple cypher in a text file which uses basic substitution and am looking for a program which may be able to break the code.

all binaries/executables are in bits and bytes, see a intro computer text book

Code cannot be retrieved by reverse engineering executables.

It's like taking meatloaf and trying extract all the ingredients into separate entities. :-P


Even it was possible to extract code from binaries, you still need to know how to program. the time it takes to read the code. You might as well just learn to program to create your own program.
