I plan on joining the Air Force as an officer once I graduate from college in about 3 years. My boyfriend wants to enlist in the Air Force within the next year. If we get married after he joins but before I do, is there a way that we can get stationed together?

It will be much more difficult with one spouse being an Officer and the other one enlisted, but it can be done. you'd pretty much have to be married BEFORE you Comission in order to avoid Fraternization accusations.

Spousal co location tries to keep souples stationed within 150 miles of one another. You may NOT be at the same Command, but could be at the smae base, for instance. also, it helps if the two of you have jobs that are compatible.. or a job that can be stationed everywhere.

It is possible to be stationed together in the Air Force. However, remember that military needs will come first. A lot will depend on each of your career fields.

P.S. Don't believe everything your recruiter tells you. Wait until you go to your first duty assignment and ask what you can do.

well i can tell you that if he joins as an enlisted member and you come in as an officer; well you or him will have to get out. if you are not married before he joins, then this is what has to happen. And yes you will move together, cause if you come in then he will get out and you two can be together.

It is possible. i think they call it the buddy program or join a spouse or something like that. I know for sure that they won't do any sort of buddy program for opposite sexes that are not married. heres a link about the join a spouse thing.
