I think violent opposition is what you would want. What better way to show the intolerance and false teaching spoken by the Christ cultists? If you can try to do this on Christmas eve of even better Easter weekend.

If you do do this please Email me and let me know how it goes...or hopefully I will see the results on CNN or something! Hell email me and let me know where it will be, I will try to attend.

Giv'em hell! Keep showing these idiots that there is nothing to fear and that they worship a figment of their imagination and that they will be no longer allowed to hold our society captive by their ignorance. Let the war begin!

None of the above. People have come to realize that these violent acts only lead to further violent acts. As a result you will not be able to gather nearly enough people to cause an outcry. I am truly sorry but people have wised up since the middle ages.

Why would you bother burning the Bible? It is a book, some people believe what it says, others don't. I personally think its a curious read even though I am an Occultist and my religion has absolutely nothing in common to Christianity and the teachings of the Holy Bible. I guess my real question is, if you do not believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ why does this book even matter to you?

I personally do not like the idea of burning any books. Some books are filled with hatred and lies but buried in all of that nonsense is a truth. That truth, no matter what it is deserves to be shared and respected. By burning the bible you will undoubtedly lose the chance to learn from that particular book.

I hope you change your mind about burning the Bible.

Hails to the unworthy,
Silence

I would expect some pretty hardcore opposition. As well you should. I'm a Christian, and I wouldn't appreciate it. Ya know even Jesus was filled with the wrath of God when and drove the money changers out of the temple when they had turned a place of worship into an indoor market. (that story, along with many others, is in that book you're wanting to burn).

I can't comprehend why you would want to PUBLICLY burn Bibles. I mean if you want to do that in your own privacy, that's your business. It's wrong, but it's your business. But doing it publicly SEEMS like an act of hatred to me....

Don't vote for me on this one, the reference comes from one of the articles in wikipedia's Censorship sections.

" The writer Heinrich Heine wrote in 1821 "Where they burn books, they will end in burning human beings."— Dort, wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man am Ende auch Menschen (in his play Almansor). Just over a century later the Nazis did exactly as Heine had predicted."

It is illegal, I believe, to burn any 'holy' book. If you want attention burn a Koran (people will come to kill you if that's what you want). Better yet, don't burn anything, it wastes paper. Make paper mache or something. I'm willing to bet whatever 'holy' book you burn - Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu etc you will get a lot of attention from local authorities and get to go to counseling. Is that your aim?

Yes, especially if you advertise for people to participate. Not all religious people are lunatics, but it is true that some are. And they'll find you and show everyone just how loony they are.
