Drop the sugar and carbs. My job has me chained to a desk 5 times a week so I went on Atkins. Lost 13 pounds in a month. Went from 128 to 115 at 5'2. Kept it up and lost 12 more pounds the next month and then 8 after that. I eat every four hours with all the meat and fat I want without gravy or ketchup though. I also take multivitamins and fiber to make up for the lack of fruit and carbs consumption. It came to a point weightloss just would not stop I had to add carbs. My all time low was 94 lbs.

To maintain I don't take more than 30g of carbo a day. If there are days I can resist carbs and sugar I go without. My stomach is so flat and my thighs are half their former size. Cellulite even diminsihed

Atkins is best if you are diabetic or insulin resistant. Southbeach is best if you have high blood, cholesterol or heart problems.

The best way to lose weight is to cut back on portion sizes and calories consumed. Everything these days are huge portion sizes that packs more calories than we need a day sometimes. Eat balanced meals and you need to start some kind of exercise regimen. Easiest form of exercises that are free...Walking and taking the stairs more often. If you use an elevator just to go to the second floor that is pure laziness and it is usually faster to take the stairs than to wait for the elevator. Call a friend or tell your kids or spouse that they are your walking buddy. That way you can motivate each other. Walking is also a great stress reliever. And when you walk don't take it at a turtle pace. Also, cut back on sodas, juices and other empty calorie full of sugar drinks. Drink more water. It doesn't have any calories and is really good for you.
