Personally, I don't use Outlook Express ,I prefer Incredimail, but you can find help on how to use it and configure it to work with your email address at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;oex

I hope this helps. Good luck!!

First of you need the POP3 or IMAP email account.
Some free mail providers, don;t provide the above features.

If you have POP3 (like gmail) or IMAP (hotmail) account,
dot he following,

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Goto Tools->>Accounts
3. Click Add-->>Mail
4. Give Your Display Name (It will be displayed in your recipient inbox, instead of your email id)
5. Click Next and Give your email id (complete email , like senthilkumar@islindia.com)
6. Click Next and Select your mail server type, like

Hotmail, MSN (old account) - IMAP
Hotmail, MSN (new account, created within last 5 months) - HTTP (this option only available in Last Update Outlook Express)
for other mail services (that provides POP3 service, yahoo free mail will not support and you can't use with Outlook or anyother mail client) - Select POP3

If you selected POP3, then give POP Mail server and SMTP mail server, for example, if you are using gmail then POP3 (pop.gmail.com) and SMTP (smtp.gmail.com)

(verify your provider for POP3 and SMTP server settings, it will varies depending upon the provider)

now click Next. now give Account Name and Password, it will also veries deponding on the provider,
Some provider will accept the email as Account Name. So Verify your provider.

If you are using gmail then give your email as Account name.

Now click Finish

Your are now ready to use Outlook Express for your email.

Ask me If you need assistance.
