Your medication is fine to take, they will make sure the perscription matches your id, and everything is safe. Yes they are being very strict with the new ban, for saving peoples lives. If you werent allowed to take your insulin, your live would not be so much saved now would it. The TSA is concerned with the heath and safety of others and wouldnt want to put your life at risk. It is fine and neccessary to have your medications with you, and the flask is allowed, as long as it is filled with your insulin and not Mr. Jack Daniels. And soda, water, juice and food, ect. will be served onboard your aircraft as usual because they meet the FAA's standards, arent tampered with, as a beverage brought on by a passenger could be. Hope this helps.
If you have any further questions check the TSA website at
www.tsa.gov

There are also contact numbers or an email available for your questions, if I didnt clear this up for you. happy traveling!

You can take prescription medication with you, I think, as long as it has your name on it. Look on the website tsa.gov. or check with your airline to be sure.
