Afrin or a generic version of it should help right away. Be sure to read the instructions on it and to not use it more than once every 12 hours and also not to use it for more than 3 days in a row, you can develop some VERY serious complications.

Dimetapp is helpful, or if you're suffering from allergies take Claritin.
Not excited about drugs? Make yourself some peppermint or lemon tea and breathe in the steam (without burning yourself :) Vick's vaporizers are helpful or buy their rub products and swab a bit just under your nose to clear congestion.

For quick temporary relief you can rub menthol ointment under your nose i.e. vick's vapor rub or mentholatum. Otherwise, you'll have to get some oral medication like a decongestant or allergy medication. Good Luck!!!!

A hot, spicy, crab curry, with chillies, garlic, onion, tomato, a couple of cloves, coriander seers and ginger paste is not only heavenly but clears blocked noses in a jiffy!
