Almost without exception will the potential agency you're applying for run a full criminal and background history on you. Not only that, they'll also check with past employers, reference people you've listed, credit check, and a psychological evaluation.
It's going to take some time.

Every government agency whether law enforcement or otherwise will run a back ground check. Schools do it, banks do it, a lot of security companies do it too. It is no big deal.

Sure they run background checks. And yes, they will check out the people that you associate with...including your husband.

Yes.... for these jobs, the background checks tend to be pretty thorough too. I'm guessing it will be more indepth than the average background check.
this applies to EVERYONE.

Yes they will know more about you than you will know about yourself, esp if you get one with the Federal Government or one that requires a security clearance.
They will go though all of your finaces, any debt that is owed and if any debt is past due it will be explained,

you could continually do a excursion interior the defense force/national shelter and stick to for the police. The police may be exceedingly stupid to coach down somebody with defense force adventure and an honorable discharge. teenagers do defense force and police each and all of the time.
