The flock leaving him means that no one believed anymore. Or maybe God is letting everyone go free wouldn't that be nice. He can resign.

You are talking about Pentecostal and yes, it is the same as Christian...The reason his flock left him is because it wasn't a "real" vision from God. There is a hell and there are many places in the Bible that proves this. ALSO, if a person has never heard of religion then he doesn't know any better but there isn't a person on this earth who hasn't heard of Jesus Christ. The Bible says to walk in all the light you see. If I had been one of his congregational members I would have left him too because he is obviously a "false" prophet. The Bible teaches of those too. Jesus came to save the world from hell but we have to accept him as our personal savior first. We have to humble ourselves to God and His will. Not what we want but what God wants. We are to live as much like Christ did as possible. Believe me, there is a hell!

This person was a pentacostal and yes most pentacostals are Christians. The reason this person's flock left is becuase God would not give a Christian a vision that was in contradiction to the clear teaching of the Bible. This man was wrong and his vision was not from God. As for this lost gospel you speak about it is not part of the Bible for a reason. The Word of God teaches that there is a hell and if a person does not accept Jesus they will go there.

The flock was right to leave and that shows that they know the bible for themselves because we shouldn''t take a mere man behind a pulpit words. Hell does exist. Jesus released the sinners of the past when he died on the cross and went to Hell and he took the keys from Satan which released the saints of Old.

In this information age it's really not hard to discern a heretic. Nobody wants to be on the loosing side. Despite what Hollywood tells you. The churches aren't "hiding the real truth" from people but they figured out over a thousand years ago what was truth and what was discredited heresy and they came up with something called "Creeds" to make it easier to tell the difference between the truth and the Heresy.

Because those who belong to Christ will know when it's the truth of Christ or the ramblings of a false prophet and they must have took him to be false by conviction of the Holy Spirit or they wouldn't have left. Christ said his sheep will know his voice and will follow him and will not be swayed by wolves in sheeps clothing and call come hither or go hither. God isn't going to give visions that are not congruent with the scriptures and to give a vision of hell being non-existent, would not be in line with the scriptures.

His congregation left him because he was deceived by a false vision and wouldn't repent of his error. If you're talking about the same person I heard about recently he went all of the way over to the side of Satan and is now in another "church" setting where he promotes acceptance of behaviors that the Bible classifies as sin.

Your religion does not serve you well if your thinking is this concrete. This kind of dogmatic hair-splitting is just about as anal as collecting bits and pieces of aluminum foil into a ball for forty or fifty years of ones life, just in case you ever need such a perfect aluminum ball someday to "save" the world or something. As a hospice nurse, you'd never believe how many of those "perfect aluminum balls" I had to toss out with all the other meaningless personal belongings. . . and dusty dogmas . . .that are left behind after the funeral home has removed our bodies.

Because they want to believe they are better than everybody else, and if there is no hell, why bother trying so hard to be a good christian. They have to have punishment for their sins, or what is the use of being christian.
