God made Adam and Eve not Eve and Ivette or Adam and Steve.
Where did that come from? I hope people don't plant that into their childrens heads!

Well honestly, for those who believe in the Bible, God did create Adam and Eve... not any other couple. People just make up those other names to express their disapproval of homosexuality. But in any case, who knows who made up the play on words. As for implanting it into their children's heads... if they believe that God did create Adam and Eve, then thats' what they'll teach their children. How they teach it is another issue.

Anyway, I find it hilarious that you should ask this question since you yourself said:

"...god's plan was designed for man and woman, Adam and Eve, Sperm and Egg. Not woman and woman, man and man, Adam and Steve,Eve and Ivette, egg and egg, or sperm and sperm."

I am not sure who made up the rhymes to try and teach a Biblical truth but the rhymes do not change what the Bible does teach. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He created Adam and Eve and instituted the marriage relationship between the first man and woman. The Bible does teach that homosexuality is wrong in Romans 1 and other places. So wherever the rhyme came from is irrelevant. The fact that God is the Creator of all things is what matters.

I was told there were many Adam and Eve in those days. Sometimes when we read the Bible we have to do some hard thinking. Also, we have to read more to understand how did they compile the BIBLE. Why did they leave out the gospel of Mary, Thomas, etc ? Why were they considered gnostic?

Eva *,
I like that question. I gave you a thumbs up.

I used to get that from the guy who brought me to the Lord. He was an ex-Roman Catholic, but I found that he had some legalistic values to preach about. I think that's where it comes from.

It's a twisted Christian Fundamentalist view.

They were trying to illustrate their againstness to the Gay movement. Making an example by showing that God made man, and a woman for Him.

Thus heterosex and monogamy were founded at the same time.

What the Fundamentalists seem to miss everytime is the fact that they have nothing over the Gays, and should remain true to the calling of preaching Christ.

Instead I find them preaching about sin.

It's true that we all must repent, but God does the convicting. Men are called to do many things, but trying to make someones sin worse than other sins is self-righteousness.

Never heard of Ivette. That's so ridiculous it's pretty funny. I mean the whole concept of Adam and Eve is that they are the great great great..........grandparents to us all.

Sorry honey - it was the children who came up with it in the first place - out of the mouths of babes! Only they can see the reality of the truth - and that the body is designed for one type of physical union - and it doesn't take much logic, as out of the mouths of babes can tell you - "Gee Mom, she can't pee, she doesn't have a wee wee."

Hmmm God also made Lucifer and unfortunately he is also responsible for his child's actions. Guess God was a bad father. He let his own son die ohh nevermind he commited suicide after whipping people in the church.

The origin of those slogans is not important. It's the message....which I totally agree with.

Maybe the same morons that came up with the original story.

Prove any of them to be fact or fallacy.

It came from homophobes like Fred Phelps. (not actually him, he's too damned stupid to come up with such a clever play on words - but one of his faith zombies could have).
