Why are people, especially crowds of people so submissive toward cops?

Question

Why on earth do we keep putting up with their extortion, murdering, assaulting, and thievery? Screw their guns, screw their tazers and rubber bullets and tear gas. What does it take to strike back?
Why do we keep calling a man with a badge and gun sir? As though they deserve some type of respect. They are criminals, they are cowards who hide behind their weapons, they are men and women who enforce laws that have absolutely no reason behind them. They enforce laws that are made by fat rich white guys to make them fatter, richer, and whiter. In the name of jesus no less.
When will the day come when we can decide for ourselves what we put into our own friggin bodies? THEY DO NOT OWN US! We pay them to protect us from others who seek to harm us. Who can protect us from them? US THATS WHO!

You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Sure there are and have been crooked cops out there but the majority aren't and yes, they do deserve respect. All you are calling for is a war on our own people that will get lots of people killed and probably most of them innocents. From the wording of your question, you've had some bad experiences but that doesn't give you the right to screw everybody else over or to start a vendetta against all cops. How about you look around at all cops before you judge so harshly. And those laws do mean something...you just don't seem to care. And that gets people killed.

I am not condoning crime in any way. However for the most part in dealing with police (traffic stop) they refuse to communicate.
It seems they are getting their cookies in being able to be master of the situation. Of course If one could call for backup and I mean back up I don't think they would be nearly as cocky as they are.
In short they will beat the **** out of you and arrest you if you argue with them. It seems to me that they spend a lot of unproductive time doing things that are not serving the public in its best interest. Most of the people I knew in school who became involved in Law Enforcement were real DUDS. They liked to bully people who were physically weaker, did whatever they wanted and so on. It is unlikely things are going to change much if any.

Being a Black Man I have no love for bad cops, but those who are good and honest deserve our respect and support, Also it is not generally known but Police Departments are not for your personal protection their mandate is Civil Protection, That is why I support the second amendment fervently!

You're preachin to the choir! It is your patriotic, and moral DUTY to at least question, if not resist authority at every turn. Do Americans not remember the "Redcoats"? - now we can just call them the blue uniforms. Next time a cop pulls you over, ask to see HIS (or her) ID, and see what happens. PS don't actually do it, but you get my point.
