I think you might be asking about conditioner only washes. Most shampoos have harsh detergents as well as gentler surfactants. Conditioners also have some of the surfactants, but much milder. So, if you get your hair wet, use a lot of conditioner, and leave your hair alone for 10 minutes or so, then gently massage your scalp, then rinse thoroughly, your hair will be clean and very soft. It just takes the milder ingredients in the conditioner a little longer to work. That's why you leave your hair alone for at least 10 minutes, even longer is better. Just be sure you use conditioners that are free of ingredients that end in cone, because they are silicone based and will coat your hair, not clean it. Was this what you were asking about?

I shall try to be the voice of reason (and good spelling) here:
Some people use shampoo but don't use conditioner because, maybe, they have soft hair that is better off without conditioner.
Some people use shampoo but only use conditioner when they think they need it.
Some people use shampoo and conditioner all the time. Bully for them.
Some people apparently only use conditioner, but I have no Earthly idea why anyone would do that (but if you say so I guess they must).
I suppose all people don't use conditioner because some people are wild and crazy and want to take chances with the split ends.

Because some people don't need to use conditioner in there hair.My type is average thickness,but lot's of them,with little oil,making it therefore easy to clean without the use of conditioner.Some high quality,thick shampoo is all i need,once or twice a day.Have a good one...tom science

Shampoo is better! It cleanses the hair.
Conditioner is better it makes the hair silky and smooth!
