My husband has a fear of having children. He wants them, but is so afraid of being a bad father. We are both Christians, and I was hoping someone could help me find a bible verse on overcoming this fear, trusting the Lord, and the Lord's views on having children. Thanks and God Bless!

Please, those that are not believers, please don't give me your opinions on how I shouldn't use the bible to guide my life. I don't judge your non belief, please don't judge my beliefs.

"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. Psalms 127:3-5

You should talk to a psychologist with your husband and get to the root of his fear than a simple verse.

Well, I recall Jesus telling the people to let the children come to him. Then he praised their innocence and said that more people should be like them.

Go to www. biblegateway. com and put in the word, children or barren and all scripture will come up in refrence to it. But if he doesn't want children I wouldn't have them.
