The potato part of french fries are only carbohydrates. The oil used is fat-it they're made and cooked in olive oil or vegetable oil they're ok.If they're from fast food hamburger joints they'll problably be cooked in animal fat or shortening (partially hydrogenated veg oil-not healthy).

Carbo and fats. Potato per se is carbo, but if it french fries, it's carbo + fats. Just imagine all the fats seeping into the potato sticks while it cooks. A little fries won't make you fat; we all need fats in our bodies, it's the eccess that makes us fat. If you love potatoes, better bake or steam them. And while you eat fries, go for veg salad too, it doesn't make you fat and it adds a little calory so the energy you get from the fries will be used immediately.

French fries are potatos that have been precooked in oil. You can, however, buy or make healthier versions. Chop 2-4 potatos and put them in a bowl with a tablespoon of olive oil and mix until they are all coated. You can put whatever seasoning you enjoy on them. Place them on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 deg Farenheit for about 30minutes. They'll be really nice!

Well some are if they don't get enough exercise or constantly consume other starches. The most obese of these being the ones made from the couch potatoes.
Just kidding. Yes they have a ton of fat. A small order could have up to 30 grams of fat alone.

if you order them that way but in general I consider them skinny. Wendy's fries are probably the fatest from fast food. Of course I am just joking. A fry is only a potato, it makes you fatter by the way that it is cooked , Deep Fried. The grease adds to the saturated fat total.

Well, steak fries are fat. Sometimes they are up to an inch wide. Yum! But if you order "shoestring" fries, they will be skinny, but usually longer! So not all french fries are fat.

ya french fries are negative for your health! the classic great french fry order has 500 energy, 25g entire fat, 3.5g saturated fat, 350g sodium, and 63g carbs! thats about what you should have in 2 entire foodstuff! and thats purely french fries; maximum folk have a burger and soda with it. the entire meal might want to probable upload as a lot as 2 entire days properly worth of fat, carbs, and sodium!

They are very fattening. They are usually deep fried in oil so they are loaded with fat and carbs with little good nutrition. They baking them and they are better especially if you use fresh potatoes instead of the frozen fries.
