I'm 22, 5'6 and 135 pounds.
I've never followed any sort of actual "diet plan". I just keep away from fast food, don't drink pop or alcohol, keep away from processed foods and eat several small meals a day opposed to 3 large meals.
I've always been a bit of an exercise fanatic, either running or doing aerobics or in the gym. In the last month or so, I've dropped the gym membership and got myself a decent bike and gotten into cycling.
Tips? Don't give into these crazy diet fads that claim you can lose 10 pounds a week. Set realistic goals, eat good healthy food and stay active. If you start an exercise program, switch it up a bit... keep it fun. It's about living a healthy lifestyle, not starving yourself to be that size 0 you've always wanted to be. Some of the skinniest most beautiful women out there is no where near as healthy as the average curvy size 12 woman.

gym: once or twice a week (yoga) but I walk and jog a lot (I do dogwalking) so I walk/run at least 5 or 6 miles a day.
diet: i'm a vegetarian, I'm kind of doing a 1200 calorie a day diet (aaah, i broke it today oops) but it's all been going pretty well so far, lost more than 13 lbs and grew an inch in height (in jeans went from a size 8 to a size 2) still trying to lose 7 lbs by september 5th and 7 on top of that by november.
jodygirl: you're 42 and you've 'heard alchohol causes pregnancy'? what the ****? if you're responsible with it (like i imagine someone in their 40's should be) alchohol should NOT get you pregnant.
plus, you're at a totally unhealthy weight. i kind of doubt you're telling the truth . . .

Thanks a lot for accepting my humble suggestion.
I am 70 kg, 163 Cms, Indian. I am vegetarian, do Pranayam ( a combination of breathing exercises ) & swimming daily. I am also into weight training & jogging. I don't smoke, I don't drink . I also avoid eating outside as long as possible. I prefer boiled eggs, bananas, papaya when out of town as they are hygenic . I take 4 glasses of water on getting up & take 10 lts of water throughout the day. I even carry my water bottle to the office so that I get exact track of water intake. I even keep a toothbrush / toothpaste in office & brush after lunch.
Sounds too much. It takes time to form good habits , but believe me , it give back rich dividends.

Im 6'4, 215... I work out at work.. I have a horrible diet of eating out all the time!! So I would at least recommend stay away from the fast food!! But keep phyisically active in sports or something..

I eat what I want and when I want and I make sure to eat foods that are healthy. I season my foods with great herbs and seasonings that help the body free itself of all bad things. I will also cleanse my body internally once a month to make sure all the bad stuff gets out.

180lbs, 5'5, I try to walk every morning..lol, try! I don't really diet....lol, don't believe in it, I eat what I need like fruits and veggies, and make sure I get dairy and protien. I also like getting foods that are non processed. What you know goes in is great and the more natural it is the better it is for you! Oh and I am 20.

5'8" 118 lbs never I'm 42 I don't eat sweets I'll drink sweet no alcohol(much too much sugar and Iv'e heard it causes pregnancy) spend a dollar on food a day, you have to search but your'e losing calories doing it, fill up your life with other stuff not the refridgerator
