The references to the romans are thourough-and well thought out-the creation of a savior to keep the people pacified and to bring a difference into their religiouis beliefs as The Jews were rising and becoming stronger and were assembling to bring an end to the tyranny they suffered at Romes hands-to see that the heart of Christianity is in turmoil constantly because of all the mistakes that are clearly delivered by the writers and the bad grammer and how Jesus would turn the other cheek and make pacifist of the resistance that were willing to fight for their freedom-If you do not see the clear indicators that showed not a God but a brilliant device to help to control the masses and also to disrupt the people that were enslaved-and how this WEAPON you call The Bible has been used to cheat people of their lives-with the threat of a Loving God that would burn YOU in a Hell-and so the story goes-until Revelations-where-by God has surrounded himself with monsters-much like Ceasar's court!t

Nice try chief but the Romans didn't worship Zeus they worshipped Jupiter so your theory has no basis in any kind of reality, historically or mythalogically.

You have no understanding of history. As for the Romans supposed concern about the Jews, you might want to know that just a few years after Christ's death, the people of Israel rose up against the Roman occupiers. The Romans then came in and slaughtered everyone in sight, driving the remaining Jews out of Israel and into a 1,900 year life of wandering without a homeland. The Romans then spent centuries trying to exterminate Christians - from feeding them to lions to burning them alive at the circus. Fortunately, they lost. The Romans are long gone, but Christianity is still with us. The same location where the Romans once thought they could break the religion is now the site of the Vatican.

Julius Caeser could be the prototype for Jesus, but so could be the Essene teacher of righteousness, or even King Tut. Phonetically, Jesus was the same as Joshua/Yeshua in first century Greek, so while it's certainly possible the "sus" part was a play on words with Zeus, the Julius Zeus= Jesus speculation is simply not supportable with what we know.

except, the Jewish leaders would never have let the young men revolt, and the Romans knew it. There is proof that Jesus lived(tax records and the Roman accounts of travellers from Persia seeking a king foretold in the stars) and that he was crucified( again, tax records and court documents. The romans were great document makers.) for sedition. So, at least parts of the bible were true.
