That no matter what the problem, there is always a solution given that enough time and effort can be applied.

I learned it both subjectively, overcoming my own personal obstacles, and objectively by studying the remarkable and extraordinary accomplishments of mankind, from the building of the pyramids to the creation of vaccines, to walking on the moon.

This is the best tangible example of faith there is, or ever will be... the belief in ourselves individually, and together with the rest of humanity as a whole. Mankind can do anything. If everyone possessed this piece of knowledge, what a better world we would have.

People do whatever you allow them to get away with, therefore we cannot blame lovers, husbands/wives, friends, etc. for making us feel small, unloved and/or worthless.

I learned this the hard way, after five years of trying to make things work with the wrong person and blaming him for everything along the way. I then realized that I had the power to leave at any point. When I finally did, I came to the previous conclusion. Although he was an emotionally abusive person, I chose to stick around, in hopes that things would change. You can't turn crap into gold.

How to think. It was the first thing I learned and I learnt it right before I was born. If I didn't learn that, I would be in a vegetative state for the rest of my life.

The Buddhist Truth: Life is Suffering.
Knowing this has made my life easier. Since I expect that life with be difficult, I don't freak out or get stressed when things get tough. I actually laugh when troubles come. I know that the troubles will eventually pass because of another Buddhist Truth: All things are temporary.
