I'm going through this myself. I think some men have a "out of sight, out of mind" type of attitude. After all, you're the one carrying the baby so you can't run away from the child...but he on the other hand, can run like the wind, on to the next unsuspecting victim to impregnate. I have two girls ages 4 and 5 and their father is not at all involved. He wants a relationship with my older daughter but because our younger child has medical disabilities he is uninterested. I've told him he can't pick one over the other so he chooses none. Keep your head up and just be a good mother. A man is not essential to raising a child. I'm not at all saying it's easy...just do the best you can.

There are some man who can except the responsibility then there are other that put there tail between there legs and run like dogs. I hate hearing my friend say that they are preggers but daddy doesn't want any thing to do with them or baby. But see child support is a B*tch it kind of your only pay back. If we could explain why men do that it might help the young mums that get knocked up and have to deal with it by them selves but this is one of those questions that will have several different answers some to justify and some that just cant explain its better off sometimes not wanting the answer.

Because some men simply don't care and don't want to deal with the responsibilities that come along with having a child and growing up and being a man. Plus, it's so easy to just up and leave the girl to fend for herself and take care of the child alone. They can do that quicker than any woman can.

In my opinion there is a big difference between men and guys. Guys are just overgrown boys. They just want to play and have fun and don't think or care about consequences. Men, on the other hand, are willing and able to step up and accept responsibility for their actions as well as having the ability to think about all aspects of a situation in order to make wiser and informed decisions.

Because they know you are better than them. They are weak, can't handle true responsibility, will never change. They can't handle it. I have some experience with this, my father. Frankly, you both are better off without that kind of man. It may seem like a setback, but you will find someone that would will stay and be there for you.
