That is a really good question Julie, but no one really knows for sure.. The Antichrist may use that technology to track people but as for if that will be the actual mark we simply don't know. Taking the mark itself is evidently an act of worship and submission to the Antichrist so it more than just an injection of a chip in the hand or forehead. If you have put your faith in Christ Jesus as your Savior you will not have to worry about the mark.
PS - do you play the guitar like your avatar does?

The ONE thing I can't stand about religious people is that they take whatever they want from thier books and throw out whatever they don't... every christian will swear to you that an angel saved their life, but tell them you were or are posessed by a demon and see the response they give...
Anyway... many people for quite some time (at least the past 20 years or more) have believe that the mark of the beast will be a type of identification implanted in your body which is directly linked to all of your personal information including your bank account... If the RF chips are widely implemented it is possible that they fit the bill. Especially since 'none will be able to buy or sell without it' (being the mark...)

I am amazed at how you all can take a book that was written by humans and start coming up with all these theories and assumptions. There is no mark of the beast or whatever. The RF chip is nothing more than a device that humans created. Why is everything turned into some kind of Biblical stuff? Apocalypse, armageddon, 666, all a bunch of hooey-gooey. 666 never even existed in the Bible till someone decided to insert it in there to make their story sound real. It is just a set of numbers that is it.

I reference to the mark of the beast, the mark is an actual mark, either seen on the right hand or on the forehead for all to see. It is meant as a branding, a worship status, and basically a showing who you really are inside. In revelations, it states that they who do not have the mark of the beast can not buy or sell without the mark. It isn't a buying or selling chip though, and you have to willingly accept it for it to be "marked" on your body. Basically, there will be a time on this Earth where all who accept Jesus Christ as their loving Lord and Savior will go to heaven, those who are left behind (those who didn't believe) will have three years of prosperity (signaling that the antichrist shall reign, for he will trick those into thinking that he is the ultimate christ, although he is fake). After three good years, the antichrist will turn into what the propheys have spoken about and he will bring a new world order. According to some teachings, if you can get through the bad years (tribilation), without the mark upon you, you will ascend into heaven. But that is speculation...it is better to accept Jesus now than later. Think of how much easier it is now to do that than later...oh and who doesn't accept the mark of the beast during the tribilation will be beheaded...Id rather keep my head and go straight to heaven... :)

I don't know if that chip will be the mark of the beast. However many good Bible teachers do believe that the mark of the beast will be some sort of chip placed under the skin for identification and record keeping purposes. Whatever this chip is and whether or not it has already been developed we don't know for sure and could only guess. In any case the fact that this technology is available is a possible indicator that Jesus is coming back soon. I can't wait.

The Beast is a three-story computer in Brussels, Belgium called "The Beast," is described as being the brain-child of the European Common Market. It is said to be "self programming" and is intended to track the buying and selling activities of every person on earth. Additionally, the system is alleged to depend on invisible tattoos on the forehead or back of the hand of each person for identity purposes. Ominously, the tattoo will be of a unique, personalized number composed of three entries of three digits each

Julie S,
Do you see the resistence that you are getting for asking such a question?
I believe that if it is not tht chip, it would be something like it. It makes too much sense, Julie S. Even a cell phone is being used to scan for a cell, provided that you know the pin number.
The inability to buy or sell without the mark is possible. It wouldn't become mandatory at first, but later, the death penalty.
I'm ready to go before that happens, but we can see it coming, can't we? Stay ever faithful to God, and He will make all His promises good to you.
See you when we get there, sister in Christ.

what's the RF chip? the mark of the beast in Revelation was '666' basically tattooed on the hand or forehead. if someone accepts the mark of the beast they cannot go to heaven b/c they have denied Jesus as the savior.

No. The mark in Revelation is explicitly an actual mark. The fact that such a tradition of marking slaves with tatoos no longer exists does not make it ok to change the meaning. Either the prophecy is false, or that tradition will be resurrected.

Revelations is a book written in symbolic language and images so the "mark" is not a literal mark but a spiritual decision on the part of nations, governments and individuals
