...then why are there still apples and oranges and all that that are so hard to eat?

(Harkening back to the evolution argument about why apes are still here.)

If you haven't heard the banana argument for God as an intelligent designer, then consider yourself lucky. "It has a pull tab. How could that have happened by accident?"

The problem is, the bananas god created are almost inedible. The bananas we eat are a FLUKE GENETIC MUTATION that was discovered by a banana domesticator. All the banana crops in the world are clones of that one (or hybrids based on that clone). Just like navel oranges.

It's funny that one of the big examples ignorant creationists use is actually a demonstration of constructive mutation that is at the heart of evolution. They simply fail to recognize it, or simply deny it.

If you haven't heard then let me enlighten you...

The banana -- the atheist's nightmare.

Note that the banana:

1. Is shaped for human hand
2. Has non-slip surface
3. Has outward indicators of inward content:
Green-too early,
Yellow-just right,
Black-too late.
4. Has a tab for removal of wrapper
5. Is perforated on wrapper
6. Bio-degradable wrapper
7. Is shaped for human mouth
8. Has a point at top for ease of entry
9. Is pleasing to taste buds
10. Is curved towards the face to make eating process easy

To say that the banana happened by accident is even more unintelligent than to say that no one designed the Pepsi can.

Now to the fallacy of your analogy of the banana/apple/orange to that of humans and apes arguement.

You see even apples and oranges show evidence of being designed like the banana.

The apple:

1. 10,000 different varieties and yet they are all the same shape
2. Close side large grooves made for the human thumb
3. Far side smaller groove made for the human finger
4. Close side there is a stalk, flexible so it doesn't hit the thumb nail
5. Far side paired so when an apple turns it doesn't wear out the forefinger

Now with the apple you may eat the wrapper, on the inside there is a chewy pallatable substance, apparently one of these a day keeps the Dr. away, and when you get to the core of an apple so you don't get depressed, what has God done? He has placed little seeds that when you stick them in the dirt, what do you get? More apples.

You have infinately more chance tof convincing me no one designed the Pepsi can as you have of convincing me there's no God. The whole of creation testifies to the genuis of God's creation. Think about oranges what wonderful things they are..its just a drink in a little container that you peel. Can't eat the wrapper of an orange, but if you want to start a fire try an orange. Just lite a match to the peel. Its a lot of fun, but I don't know what good it is....Now on the inside there is this handable drink. There's about ten lil segments and they are just the right shape for the mouth if you put them in the right way.

As you can see each thing has a specific blueprint or design if you will that shows signs of a designer. That is why they can all three exist at once as opposed to the suggestion that an apple or orange evolved into a banana.

Okay, bananas are good, but there are any number of arguments against this being an actual valid argument for God.

However, if the only fruit we had was bananas, think about all the vitamins we wouldn't get. And who would want to eat only bananas? A pull tab? Ugh.

Either way, the whole banana argument is totally irrelevant. There are far better arguments for God that don't sound completely - bananas.

(Sorry, I just couldn't resist.)

Come to think of it, bananas are pretty nifty!

This planet is a riot of life. My guess is that God started it all and then went over to some other part of the galaxy for a few billion years or so. We're supposed to keep things going as well as possible in the meantime.

So instead of perfection, we get variety. Sounds pretty good to me.

The diversity of creation reflects the creativity of God :)

Speaking of Evolution, it is relevant to note that...

Darwinism is ultimately a statement of Atheist Faith.

As Evolutionist Stephen J. Gould has stated, evolutionists "know" that Evolution has occurred; however, there is controversy about the mechanisms involved. In other words, evolutionists are arguing and fighting about the mechanisms involved.

This is code-speak for the fact that evolutionists "believe" that evolution happened without God, but they dont really know exactly how. They have a bunch of conjectures and speculations, but they do not have empirical proof of atheistic macro*evolution.

--
There is no evidence that proves Atheistic MacroEvolution (without Intelligent Design)...

I used to believe in Evolution. However, over a period of time I have grown skeptical of the claims of Macro*Evolution... this is largely due to the weakness of the evidence for Macro*Evolution, and the fact that the evidence, rationally interpreted does not support the overarching claims made by Macro*Evolutionists...

For scientific and intellectual critiques of evolution, see http://www.godsci.org/gsi/apol/evo/00.html .

Is Evolution a FACT? Not really -- not in the macro*evolutionary sense. See http://www.godsci.org/gsi/apol/evo/evofaq2.html for relevant discussion.

---
I find that the vast majority of people who believe in evolution, do so by faith and authority.

Faith -- because atheistic macro*evolution is a faith; and Authority -- because they believe in the word of "experts" in the field, rather than truly understanding the evidence themselves.

Cordially,
John
