Ben Gurian International Airport is Israel's main international airport. It is located roughly half way between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Don't worry, though. Israel isn't big. It won't take you long to get to Jerusalem from the airport.

There is a small domestic airport in Jerusalem but the international gateway to Israel is Ben Gurion International Airport in tel aviv, upon arrival you can take taxi and less than an hour you will be in Jerusalem.

Not in Jerusalem but fly to Tel Aviv which is about 45 min to an hour from Jerusaem.
There are plenty of cabs or you can share a van with others headed from the airport to Jerusalem.
Have fun!

No, there is no airport in Jerusalem.
Israel's main airport is Ben- Gurion, and it is located near Lod. Jerusalem is distant 47 kilometers western-northern from Lod, and it shouldn't take more than 40 minuets to get there.
Generally, Israel is a very small country and the distances inside it aren't big at all.

I can't believe that ALL of the answerers before me are wrong;

However, as you said, it might be closed, or at least with very meager activity. If you want to go to Jerusalem, in any case, it is oly about an hour from Ben Gurion Airport, which is Israel's main airport.

nope. there is NO airport in Jerusalem!! there's a huge one called Ben Gurion which is right near Tel Aviv (not halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv!! its like 45 minutes from Jerusalem!!), and there's a really little airport in Eilat, which is basically good for nothing except flying to Eilat from Ben Gurion...

You have to fly to Ben Gurian International Airport. Can take public transport to Jerusalem from there, or rent a vehicle.
