My dad has an old tv, and someone bought him a new dvd player for christmas, but his old tv doesn't have the right hookups for it...like the white and red and yellow plug ins? I was just wondering if anyone knew of a kind of adapter thing that could make that work...thanks alot and sorry i don't know too much about what i'm talking about haha...

Actually there is such a thing and it will be exactly what you are looking for. Get over to the nearest like Circuit City or something and tell them that my TV has an RF plug only and I want to hook up something with RCA plugs to it. There is this adapter and it will let you do exactly that. I know this because I have one of those. I have one made by the company called RCA. It should be about $20. If you want more connections, get one with multiple RCA connection so you can get him an Xbox 360 also.

The white yellow and red are plugs that are called RCA. What you will have to do is run the dvd player through a VCR to use it on that TV, or get a new tv.

Go to the closest Electronic shop, Radioshack, Best Buy, Blockbuster, Walmart, etc... and purchase an RF Modulator. Should run no more than $14. When you see it you will know how to hook it up.

What you need is an RF Modulator, it has RCA inputs and co-ax outputs.
