Yes, they won't be checking your spelling in person, but if you're in management you really should get into the habit of using spell check.

To introduce yourself, you NEVER ask someone for their name before offering yours. Always put your hand out to shake and offer your name and title; and in your position you would ask if everything is going as planned or however you and the company wish to be perceived by asking this particular question. I'm certain you won't be meeting these "important people" for social purposes so if you do not have any business, there's little reason to worry about talking to them or any guests at the resort at all. After all they're probably there to relax, so they don't need unnecessary interruptions from the staff. I know I hate being bothered when being over-served.

Good luck.

I would smile, make eye contact, say, "Hello, I'm _______(name), your __________(manager, or whatever your job title is)", then reach out my hand to shake theirs. Most people will respond by giving you their name and shaking your hand. Shake hands firmly but gently. Then offer them assistance in whatever capacity your job calls for; for instance, "What may I do to make your stay more pleasant?" or "May I show you to your room?"

Hope this helps.

Appear confident, eye contact, smile and tell them "it's a pleasure to meet them", don't shake their hands too hard...

The handshake should be firm, not painful, but firm. And you start by saying "hi,my name is .........." & go on from there.
