They is no "tradition" for vow renewals...But if you want to have attendants, then do. Also if you want to save a little have a friend or relative preside over the ceremony, you don't need clergy because you are all ready legally married. You can look online for sample wording for the ceremony.

Most people renew their vows on their 25th or 50th anniversary. I don't understand why 10th. Is it because you are now maybe getting married in a church?? If this is the case and you want a wedding then I would have bridesmaids and groomsmen but make it simple since you are married. If you were married in a church before, then I would just have a maid of honor and best man as my attendants. That is my personal opinion....

Congrats on your 10 years of marriage and your renewal ceremony! For a renewal you should do it anyway you want. There is no set guide lines for how to have a ceremony, it can be any way you want, traditional or wild and crazy! Hope it all goes well for you and you enjoy 10plus more wonderful years of marriage:)

When did vow-renewal ceremonies become a tradition. As I recall there isn’t an expiration date on a marriage certificate.

We renewed our wedding vows on our 11th anniversary and we didn't have attendants, but it was a small affair. We only invited 40 people. It's entirely up to you if you want attendants, I didn't want any.

sure but instead of having close friends how about if you have children just them....you will be more relaxed with out having the hassle of trying to track down brides maids for fittings member that one from the first wedding.
