Hot - hot -hot. Cars appear to be well put together with tried and true engine / trans & running gear. Easy to maintain, collision parts are very reasonable. Not the most practical on the road, but who cares!
Suggestion -- amid $3.50+gallon fuel prices try and locate a very clean '05 or '06. You can steal these babies right now and save thousands and thousands and still have a perfect car. Sale will end soon, however --- people are already getting used to the higher prices.

Dude, if I had $25,000 I would get an 03/04 Mach1 or 03/04 Cobra. You can probably find one of these for about $20,000-$23,000. You will be WAY happier with these cars than the brand new mustangs. The 03/04 Cobra comes with an under-rated 390hp supercharged DOHC 4.6L, but it's actually a little more than 400hp. It also has Independent Rear Suspension, which is good for road courses, but it's horrbile for launching hard because they are weaker than the solid axle. They under-rated the hp for cheaper insurance purposes. The 03/04 Mach1 has a DOHC 4.6L with an under-rated 300hp which is actually around 320hp. If I were you, I would get an 03 Mach1 for around $20,000 and use the other $5000 to supercharge it. That would get it to about 450rwhp.

If I had to choose between a Mustang GT and a Mazda Miata I would choose the Miata. That has to say A LOT about Mustangs and Fords. If you want a sports car, splurge for the Corvette. You can actually find somewhat cheap Corvettes on eBay if you get an older one (like 1980-1996 or something like that). If you like comfort, quality, speed, preformance, reliability, a Mustang is something you definatly don't want.

Simply put, they are awesome. I have an 05 GT and have had zero problems with it, and the fit an finish is a lot better than fords of the past and certainly look a lot nicer than the previous mustangs. They are a little heavier but who cares with 300 hp

I have one! Its a convertible GT....and I absolutely love it. Its so quick and rides very smoothe. Ive always owned a mustang and never had a problem with mine, however I do not run the *** out of them like a lot of mustang owners I know. I highly recommend one.... Just remember that gas prices are high and a V8 will definintly guzzle gas quicker than most cars! :)

i have heard that people say they aren't that fast.......thats a bunch of BS, but personally, i like the Gen. before it better. I think that those mustangs are sooo sexy and sporty. Get an older GT and for the same prive prolly a mach 1...but do what you want, i love mustangs, i have a 2000 v6 mustang and its my Elinor.

I have a Ford Mustang as we speak, and I absolutely hate it. It's uncomfortable as hell and I've had a lot of problems with it. It is actually the second one I've had and I hated the other one too. I can't wait to get rid of it. Thank God for my Escalade.
