There are a lot of lenders that finance to people who've had bankruptcy, but you have to wait until your bankruptcy has been discharged, which occurs between 4 or 6 months later after you have filed for it, depending on your state and the court. Even after it is a bit hard to get someone willing to finance you but you can try those dealers where they say BUY HERE PAY HERE, where they finance the car for you if you pay some down payment and a BIG interest rate. Your best chance is to wait after your bankruptcy is discharged , get one or two secured credit cards pay them on time for about six months then apply for a car loan. Good Luck!!

I find it to be true that when you are filing bankruptcy it is very difficult to get anything like a credit card, loans and a car too. When you file bankruptcy you will have bad credit and alot of people/companies will not trust you when using their money. When you file bankruptcy they can let you know what steps you need to take in order to improve your credit rating. Good luck because this is really hard for anyone to go through.

By law. If you file for bankruptcy ? They can not touch your car. They have to leave you a car to get back and forth from work !

Get the car after your bankruptcy goes through. I don't think it's a smart idea to take on more debt at this point...unless you pay for it all up front.

Then again, if you had the money up front...you should be able to pay something on bills....
