I have the ridiculously straight hair and I am wanting to curl it for pictures, but I am unsure of what kind of product will hold the curls for longer. Is it Hairpsray, Mousse, Gel, or a combination of the 3. Any suggestions?

I also have the kind of hair that you can`t do anything with that will stay at all or not very long.

Here's how your hair is going to look great for your pictures.
1) Wash your hair as normal. Do NOT use conditioner.
2) Apply mousse to your hair. Make sure you get it on your scalp, the ends and evenly distributed throughout.
3) Go to your local Sally Beauty Supply store and get some Wet Set rollers. These rollers are smooth and you need a pin to keep them in place. You are going to section your hair, starting with the crown with your roller, makig the section of hair no wider than your roller and no longer than the roller. Kind of like a rectangle. Remember, "larger rollers = bigger curls. smaller rollers = tighter curls".
4) you are going to roll up all your hair while it's wet and let it dry naturally. Or, use a hair dryer on medium heat, on low speed.
5) When your hair is dry (and it has to be dry for this to work) spray your rollered curls with a little bit of hair spray and slowly take the rollers out, one by one.
6) Finger comb your hair. Your curls will be a little crispy, but as you keep running your hands through it, it will really look great.
good luck!

I would suggest gel and hairspray. If you dry your hair in the direction you want it to lay, the style should last longer for you. Good products make all the difference. Some products weigh the hair down. If you want some extra volume, dry your hair right away, after you use the gel, and dry it upside down. Never use a brush on wet hair. Always use a pick or wide tooth comb.

Gel will just make your hair hard and "crunchy".
Use a combination of mousse and a hair creme.

My hairdresser says to stay away from mousse as it dries your hair out. I would say Gel...A good one is by Sebastian, but it's expensive.. Laminates Gel...

mousse..just make sure u brush first then just use fingers after u mousse...other wise u just get frizz. gel is too hard when it dries, and hairspray it sticky.
