Call the police any way... make sure you tell them that you actually saw your neighbor take the dog an put it in his house, otherwise they won't have the probable cause to search the entire property. And be darn sure they actually have the dog too.

Go to the police and file a report and a complaint that your dog has been stolen. Tell them that you believe your neighbor has the dog and that it was taken from your yard without your permission. Is your dog licensed? If it is you have a better chance of getting it back because the town will have a record that it actually belongs to you. Do you have photos of the dog that you could show the police when you file your report?

I agree that you must call the cops. And I also agree that you need to tell the cops that you actually seen them do this, so that they will look over the whole house and yard. I would do it real early in the morning or late late in the evening so that they don't take the dog somewhere else. Do it now, right now. Go get your puppy!!

Call the cops any way! Go with the cops to their house and call for the dogs when they open the door. Do you have papers or rabies tags or a dog liscense for proof of ownership? Or even a photo to show the cops?

Call the cops and make sure you have proof that the dog is yours. Maybe an adoption/prchase certificate, a rabies tag or proof of any other meds he has taken. Show them pictures or any toys you have, or any of those little check things they give you at stores when you buy things.
If that doesnt work take it to court and get a good lawyer.

Call the police, the local animal authority, and get an attorney
to press a lawsuit to take your neighbor for all he owns.
Make a federal case out of it and contact your local TV station
to put your neighbor's face all over your city or town.
A call to Animal Planet may help too.
I'm offering advice even thought I am a cat person.

there's 4 way.
1. Call cops anyway.
2. Pay the ransom (and record the scene) and then give the record to police.
3. Kill them.
4. Good bye doggy.
I suggest number 2.
but option is option, it's up to you.

Do you have his papers? Do you have him micro chipped? Vet Bills? Photos? That will help a lot. Take a camera and take pictures of your neighbors with the dog. Then contact the police. Once you have provided sufficient evidence of ownership, and have proof of the neighbors felony they will make sure the neighbors give him back. However it may take time and a warrant.

OK first off do you have papers on your dog if you do there's your proof. Call the police and they will check into it and if you have witnesses stating that this your dog when the police confront these neighbors bring them with to verify it..Good luck..I hate ignorant people who steal animals , Dog breeder and trainer of labs for 13 years..

Call the animal services in your area & ask them if they can help.Do you have a license for the dog or a picture or anyone that can identify that it is your dog?I wouldnt normally involve the dog warden but I think they may be able to check out the situation & tell you what to do.Good Luck.
