Democrats used their clout to take a huge portion of defense spending and move it to California. Republicans stay in long enough all the bases in California will be closed, and jobs move off coast to safer locations. Only exception will be difficult to move naval facilities off west coast. Most of the bases are 10 minutes away from a sub/missile strike and located there even if strategically a disaster if we are attacked. Thank god we were not attacked when Dem's were doing this illogical movement. Some bases will have to be maintained on West coast because Carter gave over Panama Canal instead of bidding against China for this control. Be difficult to shift naval resources. Air force, Army and Marine resources need to be located inland in safer locations if we are serious about their surviving a real war with China for example.
