The Bible says there is.
I know what you are talking about though
"How can a God that loves everyone cast someone into a lake of fire for an eternity?" well he can, why he does it? We'll never know. The Bible, The word of God says that there is a Devil, and that he resides in Hell.

I belive in God, I am a Christian, and if the word of God said that the sky was pink and not blue I'd believe it. If your still having trouble with this think about this:

Jesus believes in Hell and has been there....... by saying you dont believe in hell you are denying its existance, which means you are saying Jesus is wrong....... lol your telling the guy who is the Son of God that he is wrong.......

There is a Hell, believe in it, but dont dwell on it, Live your life as a good christian, and believe that you are saved and you wont even have to think about hell

Hell is described in the Bible as eternal separation from the loving and merciful presence of God (Matthew 25:41, 46; Matthew 8:12), it is also described as a place. For instance, after Jesus came back to life he descended into hell to proclaim his victory to the spirits in prison (1 Peter 3:19). Peter says that Judas, who betrayed Jesus and despaired of his Savior's forgiveness, left the number of believers to go where he belongs (Acts 1:25). The story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31) also indicates that hell is a place, just as heaven is a place.

Although hell is a place of unspeakable torments (Matthew 5:29-30, Mark 9:43-48, Matthew 13:50, Revelation 14:10-11), we should not think of either heaven or hell as geographical places to which one can travel in this life. They are places of existence beyond the grave.

Well actually I do believe in hell, but not the way most do. I believe that hell is the common grave of mankind till the Resurrection......
Revelation 20:13 states: "The sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them." Yes, the Bible hell will be emptied. As Jesus promised, "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus'] voice and come out." (John 5:28, 29) Although no longer presently existing in any form, millions of dead ones who are in Jehovah God's memory will be resurrected, or brought back to life, in a restored earthly paradise.—Luke 23:43; Acts 24:15.

In the new world of God's making, resurrected humans who comply with his righteous laws will never need to die again. (Isaiah 25:8) Jehovah "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." In fact, "the former things [will] have passed away." (Revelation 21:4) What a blessing is in store for those in hell—"the memorial tombs"! This blessing indeed is reason enough for us to take in more knowledge of Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus Christ.—John 17:3.

How can you believe in God and not believe in Hell??

Hell is there because Lucifer(devil) was once an angel of God's but Lucifer decided to try and overpower god.

All I know is what I believe. In the end we are either going up or down, I prefer to be going up.

Yes I believe in Hell. The Bible speaks of Hell alot. It also describes hell... and I can't see how all the descriptions of hell are solely symbolic. Are the scriptures on Heaven symbolic to??? I don't think so. Here is a list of some of the places Hell is mentioned in the Bible.
Hell is:

-A furnace of fire............ Mt.13:41-42

-A place of torments........ Lk.16:23

-Where They Wail.......…. Mt.13: 42

-Where God Is cursed……Rev.16: 11

-Where there is no rest……Rev.14:11

-Where they scream for mercy......… Lu.16: 24

-Where they feel the wrath of God.... Rev.14: 10

-Where they gnaw there tongues........ Rev.16: 10

-Where they can never repent............ Mt.12: 32

-A place of everlasting punishment..... Mt.25: 46

-a place of outer darkness .................... Mt.25:30

-A place of everlasting destruction......... 2Thes.1:9

-A place for the Devil and his Angels Demons)..... Mt.25: 41

To believe in God is to believe in all He says. His words are written in the Bible, and the Bible says there is a hell (unless you are a Jehova Witness *in which case, i apologize*). If there is no Hell, then why would God have sent Jesus to save us from it? If you believe in God, but not Jesus, then you dont believe in the True God, because The true God is Jesus.

i don't believe in hell for the fact that it is the basis of the religion for ex: if you don't do this you go to hell or if you do that: you go to hell
it is a belief based upon fear and covered up with love which is the thing that all of us in this world no matter who we are need : LOVE and heaven is used as some sort of reward for doing good things or a place of happiness which is unattainable on earth so of course one would relish this thought and believe in it rather than heaven i mean it is a more desirable place than hell.

Yes, I think there is a hell. I believe there is a heaven and there is a hell & only those who belive in Jesus go to heaven. Just read the bible.

Yes, definitely! Hell is a real place-- a lake of fire burning with sulfur and brimstone. Jesus himself talked about hell. In fact, hell is mentioned in the bible more times than heaven.

I'm with you on this one. I believe in God and in Jesus Christ, but I don't believe in an after-life called Hell.

If we all originated from the same God and will return to the same God after death. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, his death was meant to save all of us and not just some of us. It seems unlikely that we could go to hell anyways.....just in case we got it wrong and went to the wrong church??? It makes no sense to me!

There is no hell.....God created us all! Jesus saved us all! The sun rises on the righteous and the unrighteous.....the rain falls on the just and the unjust.....(something like that). We're all equal!
