kaylan--If you were so cool and a good brother then instead of calling him names then you would do the "brotherly thing and help him"!!!! I'm sure you are only making matters worse by calling him names. He probably feels bad enough that he can't read or write. I would bet that he already looks up to you because you are his older brother. Just think how "COOL" he would think you are if you helped him master those skills. When I was young which was many years ago I had a really hard time trying to multiply. I have 2 older sisters and they taught me how to mutiply, no matter where we were or what we were doing they would pop them off (what's 6x5, 8x4, etc.) hey I finally learned and you could see me smile from the inside out. Help your brother, there could be a reason he can't learn. You'll be a better person for helping him instead of hurting him with your words as you are doing now!!!!!!!!! Live up to your nickname (2 cool).

firstly you should begin by not calling a stupid retard. Why does he have this problem? is he in school. Does he have a learning disability? I think you should be more supportive of your brother and encourage him and even teach him yourself.....thats assuming you can read and write.....did you get someone to type the question for you?

Here are a couple of ideas....

1) stop calling him "retard". It's mean and offensive and I can't think of one way that it will help the situation.

2) try helping him. He could very well have a developmental disability that you are unaware of. Perhaps offering to help him learn to read or write and spending some time with him without calling him names will motivate him.

3) ask your parents to have him evaluated. There is help for inidividuals with delays like this.

Well, first off, don't call your brother a stupid retard. It's most likely that he has a learning disability. What you could do is read to him, because in his eyes your probably his role model.

You are very cruel. Think about this....
Not everyone is born with mental retardation. You can become mentally retarded from an accident or illness at any age in life. It can happen to anybody. Put yourself in that persons place and think about how you would feel if they treated you that way.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

What an awful thing to say about your brother. You as his brother should take the time to help him and be a little more caring to him. Don't call him that it will stick with him for life and always make him feel less. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should understand that since you are the gifted one who can understand, who can read and who can write, you should do EVERYTHING to your best to help him be the best person he can be. That way you can be called a BROTHER to him!

first, don't call him retard. he's your brother so respect him. you're older than him so try to act like one. with your tome, it's like your upset because he's not normal.

accept him as who he is. instead of trying to demean him, why not help him? make him feel loved. don't be so selfish and immature.
