You need to get a good hungry country cat, like from a farmer. Farm cats make good mousers.

or get mouse traps either the old type with spring action or there is a new one, that looks like a big clothes pin. you can get these at Walmart or hardware store.
plus there is cheese bait that I use that work really good.
but if you use the cheese bait be sure to use plastic gloves when handling them, and if you have children or pets be sure to put them were no one can get to them.
also if you know where they are coming in from you can stuff the hole with steel wool and duct tape it over it to keep the mice from coming in.
I hope this will help. Good Luck....

I'd say go for rat traps. I had once a cute little story, when I lived on a 19th floor of a 26-stories building, and once, when I woke up in the morning I saw a dead mouse lying on the floor in the guestroom. There were no mice (at least I didn't see any) in my apartment, yet there it was. Maybe, it got into the laundry and found my socks or something...

Rodents follow dirty places and you must sanitize your bathroom and kitchen with bleach and do not leave food anywhere. Mop your floor with bleach and throw away your garbage on a daily basis. Put some kind of rodent killer around your house and mouse traps, those little animals are smart and insecticide that smells like death to them drives them away, they're smart and will eventually get the point accross. Most important of all be really clean and disinfect everything and everywhere you've seen them for the sake of your little ones as those nasty rodents carry disease.

You will probably have to get an exterminate. While the exterminate is there ask him what you can do to keep them out of there. Check for cracks in the walls, around the pipes and fill the cracks. I do not know what else to tell you, but the biggest thing is cleanliness if you don't already know that. Don't leave food, dirty dishes or anything like that. put bread and stuff like that away, if you have to put dry goods etc in the frig, freezer. Good luck.

i ended up using these rodent repelents that you plug in to an outlet. they send out a sound that only rodents can hear. i didn't think they would work, but I had tried traps and they didn't work, plus they are messy to clean up. It took about a week, but my mouse was gone and i haven't seen one sence. I put 1 in each room of the house. it costed me about $25, but i was suprised at how well they worked.

First you have to find out how they are getting into the house and fix whatever cracks or holes they are using to get in. Then you can use mousetraps or mouse poison to get rid of them.

But make sure your children and any pets can't get to the traps or poison.

Call pest control if you don't want to do it yourself.

put decon under your house. ( kids can't get there, and that's where the mice come in through your home., also no fumes.)

but, if you have a cat and it eats a mouse that has eaten the Decon, it will kill your pet.
but it will definitely kill them!! ( the rodents) also bait some traps with peanut butter and place under your sinks.
good luck.

If you don't have allergies and you like animals, get a CAT! Just stay away from warfarin (rat poison) and traps. These things are obviously not good for kids.
