In this case, the buyer beware doesn't apply if
the seller didn't disclose that there's a lien on it. You can rescind the contract. and get your money back. The next buyer won't be as gullible as you. if you want to sell it;you should sell it enough to pay off the lien. Because nobody will buy it under those conditions with somebody else's problem or headaches.

if you take the original seller to court, you have to be made whole before the transaction. But you can not have your money and also the car.

If you bought it for practically nothing. then it might be a good investment as Honda Accord is a good car. and if the lien is nominal ,pay it. either way, whether you keep or sell the car, you still have to satisfy the lien for full ownership.

Well huh first of all a lien would have been noticed when you bought the car because when you transfer a car it is in on record. How come nobody at the transfer office noticed that? I would go back and ask why it was not told to you that the car had a lien to start with. I would also go back to the person and ask them why they never told you. How much is the lien for anyway? As far as a price to sell it for I would have to see it first.

You don't own that car. You have no clear title.
The lien holder owns the title. You bought the car and received no title.

Geeeezzz.
