A pair of cops in an unmarked car passed me the other day at a crowded intersection. They drove on the wrong side of the road.Straight through the lights.
Then a bunch of cop cars came through from all directions.Heading straight for the airport freeway.
As far as I am concerned, those boys can use their privileges any way that gets them to work on time.So can the firies and the State Emergency Services.

I have talked to two people who have Doctorates in Psychology about this question. Both confirmed what I have said for years. Apparently I did not need a Doctorate to figure it. I said the only difference between cops and criminals was cops carry badges. I stand partially corrected. The psychologist said that more than 90% of those who are hired in law enforcement have a psychological profile congruent with that of a criminal with one exception. No it wasn't the badge! The exception was cops are ambitious.

wow. i must admit...people give me some dingers on here sometimes. if i had juries that thought this deep, i'd never win a case. lol. but to answer your question, i'd say no less than 70%. it's a harsh reality...but a reality, indeed. but not the kind of abuse one may suspect. i use the term "abuse" quite loosely...eating breakfast when you are supposed to be patrolling, claiming unearned overtime (which is paid ultimately with taxpayer money), bullshyt traffic stops to reach a quota. these are not highly publicized, but still abuses. but when you talk about things such as 1) taking bribes from/blackmailing illegal immigrants, 2) beating the hell out of people who are not resisting, 3) illegal search and seizures, etc....i would say...no less than 60% :)

they all do in some way or the other depends on what u think is abusing privelages, getting a free coffee, 100%, not wearing seatbelts in a personal vehicle like 80%, speeding 70%. beating their wifes/girlfriends and not getting charged like 60% and the worse it is, the less the percentage.

In my opinion, cops are just like anyone else and they think they are superior.. I belive that anyone would be terribly surprised at the number of cops who abuse their authority. It is wrong but there is no way go correct that situation.
