D. Because it does not say anything about not trusting in God. It does however, bring up the fact, that God's work is not obvious or blatant. If we ask for food, God will not make a steak appear out of nowhere. He will work through blessings, and through the changing of people's hearts towards the greater good. That way, if you ask for food, he will give you the chance for you to get a job or something, and you, with your own judgement, must seize that opportunity. God, also, even if he didn't exist, he still affects our lives. Most peoples' livestyles are made to suit Gods' teachings. God affects our ways of life, whether or not you believe in him, and whether or not he is real. Even the idea of God provokes people to do things a certain way, or to live life a certain way. It makes people go to church and pray. It makes them want to spread their beliefs to other people. It makes them give their blessings and ask for help and for forgiveness of their sins. As I stated before, it sets the guidelines for their lives.

You probably wont rate this as a best answer maybe because you are atheist, but still, think about it logically, and tell me if at least I make some sense in the second part.

>a, b and c. Emerson was a coke head.

You religious crazies need to start getting (and enjoying) a life in the here-and-now; wasting the only life you will ever have while you're waiting for old myths to come true is an injustice to yourselves and society in general.

It really is a shame that you don't try to make some realistic contribution to humankind (or at least to yourself).<

I like D. It matches my appreciation for Teleology

"Thus, it is argued, if we take a clock apart, we discover in it nothing but springs, wheels, pivots, levers etc. But having explained the mechanism which causes the revolutions of the hands on the dial, is it reasonable to say that the clock was not made to keep time?"

d.) All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

what a pretty quote, and it actually does explain the basis behind why people believe in religion rather than just saying its because we fear death, which we do not fear anymore than atheists fear

Though I don't fully agree with any of them, D comes closest.

I was always taught to question everything, find answers for myself.
What have I found?
That there are proofs of God everywhere in everything.
Do I except it blindly?
Hell no! I still look, I still question.
After all, knowing He's there is only part of the question.

Don't you think?

my cat's breath smells like cat food.

so does D say that God DOES exist or not . .I'm a little confused . . .

God exists . .if you want to quote people why don't you stop quoting people from the former soviet union where religion was forbidden. the cosmonaut and the school teacher were not allowed to say God exists.

why not quote some US astronauts who read from Genesis???
I agree with THAT.

(d) :)

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm

Cordially,

None of the above. All of the answers/choices suck, come up with some better ones and then ask again.

None of the above. But ask yourself this question: Just where DID we all come from in the first place?
