DC is very expensive and Georgetown is one of the most expensive parts of DC. You're less likely to get shot there though. (It's still not out of the question, just less likely).

New York City is still more than DC. Georgetown is one of the most desirable (and therefore most expensive) areas to live. Try getting a place over the river in Rosslyn. There if you look hard, you can actually get a small apt for less than a $1,000 a month.

It cost a Lot. I use to live near DC 3 years ago, and the cost of living has more than doubled in that time.

Cost a lot...I live 20 minutes away to the North and I pay $1400 in rent for a 2 bedroom everything include. DC is pricey don't let no one kidd you on that.

DC is one of the most expensive cities to live in. Everything from your rent, your groceries, parking, clothing and more are high. The opportunity to be part of one of the most fascinating cities in the world can offset some of the financial pain, if you can handle it financially.

I'm not in the USA but I'm sure living in DC is going to be expensive major cities always are, i know from friends new york is expensive and DC will be more expensive again because it is even bigger

everyone's right, it's expensive. rent ranges from 700-1000/month per room, provided you have a roommate. if you're going to school in the georgetown area & you have a car, check out bethesda, rosslyn, or claredon.

Anywhere from 1200-1700 and thats just a townhouse.
