A good way is to make sure there aren't any caffeine in the soda you drink. Caffeine can be addictive and hard to break. Drink less soda and more purified water, the water will help clense out any toxic out your body. You can also drink organic juice, all natural juice with no sugar added, or juicy juice with no preservatives. There are other brands of sodas I think are healthy, they are called organic sodas, but so far I have only seen them on the internet. Soon they will be in stores where people can buy them!

I wouldn't start with the diet and ones that are sweetend with splenda. Those taste like crap. You're better off drinking water. What I did was started drinking a lot of juices. Theres soo much stuff out there and so many options. try something new. And have some soda occasionally if you think you can't live without it...but believe it isn't hard not to. Good Luck!

i've had the same problem... as you shouln know by now that soda does many things that is not good for your personal health... two of the things include tooth decay and too much sugar consumed... meanwhile, i suggest:

1. cutting down how much soda you drink little at a time... you might get used to it or
2. engage in a challenging exercise and then you will realize water is MUC more refreshing than soda!! i learned after mowing the lawn... and it was a pretty big area... whew!

good luck!

(if you can't do either, you might wanna try switching to natural fruit juices first and then get used to drinking water... and reward yourself... for every 5 (or whatever) glasses of water, you are allowed one can of soda!)

they say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit...just try to stop buying them and having them in your house...when you go out, order a water, think about it this way, it saves you like $2 every time you don't order a soda at a restaurant...if you can with stand the 21 days, most likely you won't even WANT one...they say soda tastes extremely acidy when you aren't used to drinking it...now i need to take my own advice...lol

start drinking water. So much better for you and you will lose weight fast. If you're drinking three 12 oz sodas a day and you replace it with water, that's approx 3150 calories/week you have just cut out of your diet.

try mineral water with lime or lemon this will still give you a bubbly sensation without all the wicked stuff in sodas. you can add a little maple syrup if you want a little sweetness too. don't let this replace water though. you still can get dehydrated if you drink too much.

Stop buying is the only way, its tough but cold turkey is it. For awhile I kept juice around because I needed some flavor instead of water all the time.
