You will need to dry the basil leaves in the bottle before adding the oil.

put a bunch of whole leaves and one whole basil stem in the bottle.
Put the bottle with leaves in the microwave, with a half-full glass of water next to it
Microwave for 8 minutes at 800W power
Pour the olive oil in the bottle and leave for one week before using it.

chop some fresh basil. put some olive oil in a pan in low heat. add the basil and stir the oil for 10 minutes. don't let the oil fry the basil. let cool and then you have basil infused oil. you may use it with the basil or just filter the basil if you don't want it.

I would just put some basil leaves in a jar and pour some heated olive oil over them, then allow to sit for a few days in the fridge. Bring it to room temperature and you can strain out the basil leaves, but if you used fresh basil leaves you will need to keep the oil in the fridge afterwards or it will go rancid quickly.

Take fresh basil and place it in a glass bottle and then add the oil of your choice(Iprefer olive oil) to it. Basil can be chopped if you like. Let the oil stand for several days to let the flavor mix in. It also can't hurt to give the battle a little swirl every now and then

Clip the leaves of fresh Basil (doncha just LOVE the way it smells!!). Tops are OK, too. Heat some good olive oil, and when it simmers, drop the basil in. Reduce the heat, and let the oil simmer for about 20 minutes. Cool, strain, and store in a DARK COOL place for like, a month. Enjoy.
