Ok, I'm a Christian, which is the same as Messianic Judaism. According to Jewish Law, a man guilty of rape could recieve one of several punishments, depending on the severity of the attack.

Assuming the attack was thouroughly investigated:

1. The man is found guilty of (what we would call) statutory or date rape: he got rough with his girlfriend and forced her into sex. Her father (or male guardian) would have the man publicly whipped. The rapist would then have to pay the going "bride price" for the girl, for destroying her virginity, and Dad could force the man to marry his daughter. It was up to Dad, though, if a marriage would actually take place. He would get the beating and the fine for sure. Dad could veto the marriage. If, however, a marriage was enforced, the man could NEVER divorce this woman.

2. In case of a violent, brutal assault, assuming NO relationship, the rapist would be stoned to death outside of the city. The girl was considered innocent of wrongdoing, especially in the absence of witnesses to the contrary!

It was assumed that a woman under a sexual assualt would scream her lungs out, bringing any neighbors running to assist. Community involvement and concern were assumed to be the case! A man in such a situation would be caught "red handed", as it were, in the middle of the crime. He would be toast. If the attack happened in the country, where there was no one to hear her scream, the girl's word was taken as true, and the man died (assuming he was caught, there were bandits then also).

Hope this was helpful.

Very nicely done, my Child. My own religion is Pagan and my chosen punishment for rape is 1: the whacking off of the offending penis with a sharp axe and then 2: the quickly followed beheading of the offender. As for women offenders we will then omit step one and move straight on to two. Clean and simple. Of course, I don't take the law into my own hands (or havn't at this point in time) Nice question though.

My religion doesn't have any moral or social codes.
Even if it did, sentencing is carried out by the governing body that has jurisdiction.
I live in California and the "punishment" is variable; but almost always includes jail time. Civil punishment in the form of fines (I'm sure you know this) is also an option for those who want to pursue it.

Christianity: Rape is clearly considered a serious violation of my religion's moral standards, but no punishment is prescribed. Christian teaching offers forgiveness and reconciliation for sinners who repent. In practice, though, I believe that many Christians doubt the capacity of criminals such as rapists to make a thoroughgoing repentance and subsequent change in their lives. As a consequence, rapists are rejected and shunned by most Christians and carry a stigma with them the rest of their lives.

I am not God so I cannot answer that question. When God allows evil to happen to us, he allows it to happen to us for our own good (Romans 8:28). He is not the author of evil. Satan is the author of evil. God allows it to happen and we grow and learn from it. How is God turning the "rape" into good? How has a person grown from the experience? What changes are in their life-style? Have the person turned more to God in faith and trust because of this terrible experience? I would encourage you to talk to your pastor about these matters. I would certainly encourage you not to be in a situation where you say, "Yes," to sex without being married.

We might note in conclusion that although Scripture clearly endorses capital punishment, if we speak in favor of capital punishment, we need to speak with balance. When we speak in favor of capital punishment, it is important that we also speak for fairness and impartial justice. If capital punishment depends on race, wealth, or other such criteria, such abuses will bring the law into disrepute and undermine justice. We may also recognize the possibility of mercy as Christ did in John 8. The solution to injustices, such as rape, in the justice system is not to stop punishing crime but to correct the injustices.

If lawyers devote their skill to protecting the innocent and convicting the guilty, they are performing a God-pleasing service. If they are knowingly using loopholes in the justice system or cover-ups to protect the guilty from the consequences of their crimes and to deny justice to the victims, they are not. Depriving someone of justice by "a show of right," as the old translation of the catechism put it, is a sin.

Sounds to me like you raped someone and want to find A religion that accepts it so you can convert to that religion and still be saved. Anyone with any common sense knows if your looking for facts the internet nor this site is the place to be demanding answers for your question and expect honest answers, accept what you did because Satan is your only friend now.

Islam established that there should be no tolerance of the attitude that a woman’s sexual activity is something to be bartered, pawned, gossiped about, or owned by the men in her life. Personal responsibility of every human being for their own actions is a fundamental principle in Islamic thought.

the man must be stoned to death. NO punishment for the raped woman and No marriage to here rapist either.

even raping your wife is a huge sin in Islam.

Marital Rape
The Quran is very clear that the basis of a marital relationship is love and affection between the spouses, not power or control. Rape is unacceptable in such a relationship.

Sûrah al Baqarah 2.223
'Your wives are your tilth; go then unto your tilth as you may desire, but first provide something for your souls*, and remain conscious of God, and know that your are destined to meet Him...'
* Note in Muhammad Asad's translation: 'a spiritual relationship between man and woman is postulated as the indispensable basis of sexual relations.'

Sûrah ar Rum 30.21
"And among His wonders is this: He creates for you mates out of your own kind, so that your might incline towards then, and He engenders love and tenderness between you: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think!

Sûrah al Baqarah 2.187
"... They are as a garment for you, and you are as a garment for them."

Sûrah al Nisa 4.19
"... And consort with your wives in a goodly manner, for if you dislike them, it may well be that you dislike something which God might yet make a source of abundant good."

The OLD testiment of the Bible says the Father has to accept a monetary payment of a specific amount or gets to FORCE the man to marry his daughter, even if his daughter objects!

Jesus in the New Testiment, says FORGIVE and FORGET or LOVE YOUR ENEMY THE MOST.

Christinity is a hard relgion to PRACTISE!

That's all, folks!
