Why piliphino -language of Philipines has words smiliar to hindi,punjabi,urdu like salamat,babae,mahal?

The language of Philipines has many words similar to Hindi , punjabi and urdu although have different meaning in their language like- mahal-love, salamat-thanx,babae-woman etc
