Hey, Mate!

UM, I"m thinking you wear those knee-length shorts a lot, with the matching brownish shirt-maybe tucked in--maybe not-----

Beer drinkers, but NOT drunks----friendly, to each other--kangaroo friends here and there (just kidding)----

Please excuse ANY rude remarks you may get--I am sometimes ashamed of my American counterparts--rude-rude-rude.

I've neither been to Australia nor met any Australians in real life(that I know of). From what I have seen on the Internet, Australians seem like everyone else, some good, some bad. I think we share a lot of cultural similarities, and I imagine I would get along well with most Australians.

Australians will save the world. Australian women are all tan and beautiful and love American men. Australian men wrestle alligators, have large knives, and can split the beer atom. Australians can play didgeridoos while throwing boomerangs. Australians would have won the war in Vietnam if we would have let them. Australians are friendly and as cute as koalas. Australians are somehow deeply linked to the land through ritual connections with the Aborigines. Australians will offer us a place to stay when George Bush and the Neocons turn America into a religious right hell-hole.

oh wow. i've always wanted to meet an australian. i also want to move to australia and live there evenutally. i wouldn't mind learning an australian accent either. so hot! anyway, australia is basically "the land down under" and i absolutely am in love with it even though i've never been there and i've never met anyone from there. unless you count people from new zealand...

I imagine Australians are human just like me. They eat, sleep, work or go to school. Pretty normal folks I guess. Doing what I'm doing, just on the other side of the globe.

I think your accents are cool and the clothes fit the climate it just seems like everyone is so put together and not in a big hurry, you have awsome theater and arts and I don't care if Mel had too much to drink, I just wish I was there when he did!

When I think of Australia, I think of friendly, independent, tough, and fun-loving people.

Am I close or am I stereotyping?
