I was taking 350mg of Effexor XR at one point, but it wasn't doing me much good. I switched to Paxil, which also sucked and then on to Prozac. Now that I'm pregnant, I don't take any antidepressants.

It depends on your level of depression. My doctor prescribed 350mg and after about 6 months it still wasn't helping so he increased it to 450mg. It has done wonders for me for the past 2 years. I would recommend speaking to your doctor and coming up with a plan that is right for you.

Good Luck

I'm on 150mg. once a day along with Cymbalta 60mg. Do not take any more than the doctor has prescribes. If you having a problem call the doctor it may be time to change meds.
