Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. This is from the bible. God ordered this to be done because He didn't want the Jews to be influnced by all the other tribes that were around. If you noticed in the bible everyone marrid in their family. (Abrham married his sister, Moses married his cousin, and Isiac,Jacop, even Joseph and Mary the mother of Jesus were related) If the jews let there sons marry other daughters,
then the women would turn the men from worshiping the God of the Jews as happened with king Solomon. So that's why God told them to kill everyone and everything. But they didn't loisten and other religons infiltrated there lifestyles.

Well, it sound like the old testament. If I recall, there was a lot of "eye for an eye" and destroying of cities before Christ came.
Of course, I don't know much about the Koran. It could be a directive to kill the infidel.
