5 hours after purchasing 96 Mustang, I got a ticket for supposedly running a red light, (when it turned yellow I was about 10 feet from going thru the intersection & there was not enough time to stop safely)
Then 3 days later, I got a ticket for doing 30 in a 20 school zone, school hasn't even started in our town & no lights were flashing.
then 4 days later, I get pulled over again, this time it's because the very bottom of my liscense plate is covered, because of the plate holder the dealership put on the car. everything except for the bottom half of my state motto could be read.
WHAT IS THE DEAL!!!
The car does have flashy wheels, but come on.
3 stops in less than 2 weeks, only 1 ticket (red light) that I hope to beat. Please help me understand this.

The car is black.
It's funny though that i've been driving an older model pick up, with a 350 V-8, Holly carb, headers, duel turned down exhaust, shaved handles & mirrors, centerline wheels& only got stopped 1 time, in 1 1/2 years. & that was also about 30 days after I got that vehicle & it was by the cop that used to OWN that truck. I don't think it's my driving abilities. That truck could run circles around this car (if only I could have afforded the gas).
I've always been told that if 2 or more vehicles are going the same speed, all are speeding, the cop will stop the sports car first. Why is that?

Slow down and stop running red lights and you will stop being pulled over.

perhaps it is the type of car that you are driving, or it could be that the previous owner was very known to the cops and that is why he or she got rid of the car in the first place. What do the "flashy" rims make you think of? I live in the ghetto now and know more about drug dealers that I ever wanted to. The ones here change cars because as soon as they get pulled over once the cops know who they are and will keep pulling the car over every chance that they get. You have an easy to spot car because of the make and because of the rims. Let me guess.. it is red too right?

LOL, I had the same problem with my '95 red Mustang GT. I used to joke that it was hello officer red. I got stopped once for going 32 in a 30 (no ticket) . Maybe you are just a cute girl in hot car and they can't resist.

Sounds like you need to cool your jets a bit.

Sounds also like you're minimizing your part in all this.

I highly doubt you or your car is the cause of this.

You're a good person that has made a couple of mistakes. You just got unlucky there...three times. Just pay a little closer attention to your driving. Getting a new or different car sometimes takes some time to get used to.

Follow all traffic rules, it has nothing to do with your car you are just not lucky. When yellow light if you have enough space which you did STOP! Doesnt matter in school zone, no flashing lights have to be working--- with that sign teachers could be at school at 6am and school tech. stops at 4:30 pm with all buses done.
You were speeding!
sorry follow all rules if you believ you are right which it sounds that you are wrong, dont fight it because cost $$$ and they have it on video. Waste of money

Stop running red lights, slow down and get that thing off your tag and they will leave you alone.
