How is it possible for two or more opposing groups to exercise their presumed freedom of speech without infringing upon the same right of their opposition?

Likewise, how is it possible for a Smoker and a Nonsmoker to exercise their freedoms (one to smoke and one to breathe clean air) in the same room without infringing upon the other or foresaking their own right?

Through cooperation and discussion.
If you and I have opposing views,we can come to a conclusion that our views are just that, views.Once that is established, you can state your point of view and I can listen. Then I can state my point of view and you can listen.
Then we can discuss each other's point of view.
No ego,no converting,no right or wrong.Just discovery of someone else's point of view.
It's a learning experience.I've had them before.I look forwards to having more.

Both have the right to speak, and both the right to refuse to listen to the other. I don't see how they infringe except in cases where someone is intentionally trying to drown someone else out. Then I suppose the offending party is infringing.

In that sense, smoking is similar. One person's smoke precludes another person from breathing clean air (if they are in close proximity).

This is a great question! It is impossible to exercise their freedom of speech because every one wants to throw stones and don't realize they are hurting each and themselves morally.

Speaking your mind never inhibits another from speaking theirs.

They are not mutually exclusive.

Smoking is another matter - what one does in fact effects the other.

You may have the right to speak, but you don't have the right to expect people to listen.
