Absolutely. Then she will go through the stress of trying to find out who ran over it and why the just left it there. It is ALWAYS better to tell the truth no madder what,(trust me on this) Then tell her how sorry you and you wouldn't do anything to harm that dog. Tell her it was a complete accident and maybe offer to get her a new dog to take her mind off of her old one. But ALWAYS ALWAYS tell the truth no madder what because if she woul dever find ou tin the long run it was you. She probably would be even madder than before. Take you sister maybe to her favorite ice cream store and just lay out the TRUTH about it...Best Wishes(TELL THE TRUTH ALWAYS)

You MUST tell her. If you don't, you will never forgive yourself and SHE WILL FIND OUT IT WAS YOU!! Then what will you do? Not only did you kill her dog - you lied about it!! She should eventually forgive you for running over the dog - if she doesn't - SHE'S the jerk - but if she finds out from the neighbor or someone you confided in or told while impaired or something - she'll have a VERY hard time forgiving you. I would. So bit the bullet - tell her and offer to pay all expenses she incurred, if any.

To be honest, if the dog was a favorite dog, I say be honest. If it was an accident she will eventually be OK. It may take some time, but I am sure you are more important to her than an animal.

Yes I think you should tell her now so that if she would happen to find out later that would probably devastate her and she might not want anything to do with you. You need to tell her the truth. Honesty is the best policy

I think you should tell her. Did the dog pass away? If not I would pay for any and all vet bills, if she did pass, I would advise against buying her a new puppy as she may feel resentment towards the dog and treat it badly.

You should tell her if for no other reason but that you will be able to look her in the eye, look yourself in the mirror and sleep well at night. There is no better releif to the nerves than an honest sincere confession and apology.

Yes, and tell her why you couldn't tell her at first. Tell her that he died instantly and didn't suffer. But why was the dog not in a fenced yard or tied? Better question yet, why was the dog outside alone?

Tell her.
Apologize, obviously it was an accident, offer her to get another doggy.
But if she's a little girl, than I don't think you need to. She might be too young to understand it was an accident.

well, i think you should tell her, even if it was an accident. You know, if you didn't tell her, she might find out somehow and not like you for not telling the truth, and besides, you might feel really guilty later. so, tell her! she may forgive you.
