I agree, I agree, I agree
I grew up in a housing project... Believe it or not, It WAS safe to run around and play outside... (that was defiantly a different time)
I have three girls (5,6, and 8) We live in a large but gated community with private security. They are not allowed to leave the very short street that we live on. (13 houses, 18 kids)
You will ALWAYS find 2-3 parents outside when the kids are outside.
Life sucks, buy a helmet so it doesn't hurt so bad.
It could be absolutely anyone that you are talking about. I think it is obvious that stiffer penalties doesn't deter them. How do you want to fight it! Whats the game plan?
I think we need to crack down on shitty parents!!!! That would be a start!

I admire your energy, but it ain't gonna happen. The world was bad in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's too. Just didn't have cable tv, internet, im, texting, cell phone, etc. making everyone aware of what was going on immediately. Research some newspapers from those years, you'll find bad guys back then too. Only other suggestion I have is to move to a small city, they still have a lot of the qualities you are looking for.

I just want to say.. that in many other countries, kids do run free and they do not worry and their parents do not worry about such horrible things happening to them. In fact, it's very prominent in countries like the US where we worry about these crimes taking place. It's plastered all over the news every evening and we get excited watching America's Most Wanted and COPS. We sometimes think that everything and everyone around us is possibly out to get us. We start locking our doors and we live in fear. It's true, some neighborhoods you must lock your doors because there is a high crime rate. Many poor areas are like this.. poor congested areas where people are not cared about as they should be. We should start addressing the problem of poverty in our countries and attacking these problems at their source. Many people would not even be a criminal if they were just cared for or received the proper help growing up. If their parents did not abuse them (which is common in lower income familys) then they might not feel the need to abuse others. I agree with your concern and your desire to change the world, but I just wanted to express my feelings on the sources of these problems. We should start by educating and helping those who are poverty stricken. We should start by accepting other races as our equals instead of becoming racist and warlike against them. We should love our neighbor as we love ourself. Changing the world starts with you. If not you... who? If not now... when? I hope you get many to join your cause and I hope that we all begin to see that we are all equal in our hearts. We need to learn to love our enemies... and help to heal their pain. Most people only hurt others because noone has reached out to help them. Good luck and many blessings to you!

First of all clean up all entertainment, get the truth from the news media, Get people back tol their God again so the children can learn morals. teach them when they are young to respect thenselves, older people and those in authority.
My son in law works in a place where the encurable sex offenders are kept. they call it a treatment center but it is nothing more then a prison. He has told me that in the last 5 uears they have let 3 of them go as being cured one was back in 3 months ,another 8 months and another 3 weeks for same sex offense,
He said one thing that they have learned from these offenders it started in their yout when they were molested

I live in a small town. My baby boomer folks have told me stories like the one that you have told. I didn't think it was possible. I'm not even allowed off the same street without someone accompanying me. And I'm 15!!! That's just it; the kids don't worry, it's the parents that do. I wish I could have had that childhood, but I'm not sure how we can achieve it. I think I'd like a little more information before just giving my email address. Wow, they have me so well trained!!!

The answer is simple but implementing it is very difficult. First. Either execute all child molesters or put them away for life with no parole. Second. Teach moral values in school. This does not have to, nor should it, put one religion in front of another. Third. Promote decent dress standards not slutty B.Spears...... Its not all the difficult to change things but it will take time and the willingness of others to make the change. Unfortunately our society does not care about the above mentioned. Instead they prefer do what they want regardless of the outcome.

I completely agree with you!
I am a teenager and get so angry that I have to worry more about some creep attacking me more than getting hit by a car crossing the street.
I don't think there is a way to completely stop it, I know you can look online to see if there are child molesters in your neighborhood.
But unfortuanately there are rapists everywhere and crime rate is never going to go down.

We used to stand up and be heard. We've stopped standing up and let the politicians speak for us. What we need to do is find a leader who can pull our people in our nation together. Fire the politician in Washington. Find Judges who will do their job instead of placing criminals back onto the streets. We need leaders who will stand up and fix our border problems so that Mexico and Cuba will stop empting their Parisons onto our streets. That will not happen until we the people decide to do something about it! Get you opinions into the news if you can. But I guess that probably is controlled by politicians these days too. Lady we're in one heck of a mess!

THe past is prologue, the world has turned...by gone days will never come around again...
You must move to get away from the nastiness: the good still exists but you need to look for it harder is all....
I moved from London to a little ancient peaceable village: life is idyllic here and the modern world really does just pass us by...

It would be nice, but it isn't never going to happen. Most of this has to start IN THE HOME! How about having child molesters put in JAIL instead of calling you child a lier like me?
My uncle molested me when I was younger and my mom said that IF I was telling the truth that he was drunk and didn't know better. IF!!!! Now he lives with my grandmother and takes care of her and concidered the GOOD SON! F*** what he did to ME!
There is a child molester running free and not because of the government it was because of my MOM and my GRANDMA who REFUSED to do anything but call me a LIER! I distance myself from my mom as much as I can (we never say I love you, hug, or kiss, I was the mistake) without going to far because of my little sister and my grandma was the only one that seem to care about me as I was growing up (except that one thing) and she is dying now so I don't distance myself from her. I just swallow my pride and act civil and NEVER let my baby girl out of my sight or let him near her (good thing she is GOOD judge of character, only 19 months old and screams bloody murder when she see my mom's deadbeat @$$hole of a husband and the uncle, I am proud)!
